Active Meditation and Guided Music & Sound Meditation
We offer several types of guided meditation at The Hypno Group, including “Active Meditation” and Guided Music and Sound Meditation. These may be one-on-one sessions, and often we offer them as group experiences both via Zoom as well as in-person.
Guided Music & Sound Meditation uses music and sound to take you into a deeper brain-wave state of focus, calm, and relaxation. Many people find taking a “sound bath” helps them in many ways, including sleeping better, being more relaxed throughout the day, and reducing anxiety and stress. Our sessions may include facilitated ambient or deep-house sound baths as well as sessions using crystal singing bowls.
“Active Meditation” is a form of guided meditation where you learn to relax and meditate while engaged in another activity. For active adults, this allows you to learn to pursue some wonderful activities—such as hiking, swimming, drawing, listening to music, or simple walking—while relaxing and allowing your active mind to rest. This results in you learning to relax while engaged in an activity you love, helping center your mind, body, and spirit for a happier, healthier life.
We offer group or one-on-one active meditation sessions that take place in-person in the Houston and Seattle areas in places such as parks, beaches, and trails. If you’re not located in these areas, we can teach you Active Meditation methods to practice on your own or with family or friends.
Our Active Meditation sessions are non-strenuous and designed to allow you to safely and yet actively engage in healing and soothing meditation. They begin with an introductory period to explain the session and set your meditation goals, followed by an activity that usually lasts about an hour. We meet at the location where the activity will take place and one of the Hypno Group clinicians leads the session.
After an Active Meditation or sound/music session, you’ll find yourself feeling mentally and physically refreshed, recharging your positive energy and ability to be relaxed throughout your day and sleeping soundly. Active and Sound/Music Meditation is fun, relaxing, and transformative to make you feel great!
